Our Client seeks a Training Advisor to design, implement, and optimize competency-based training programs that support skill development and ensure a qualified workforce for specific client groups, within the oil and gas industry. This role focuses on creating and improving Capability Management Processes to achieve measurable learning outcomes and build a competent, efficient team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain competency frameworks for the assigned client group.
Lead the planning and delivery of learning plans incorporating diverse formats, including formal coursework, online modules, self-study, simulations, and on-the-job training.
Manage Learning Plans and reporting tools within a Learning Management System (LMS).
Collaborate with internal and external resources to create and refine training content.
Facilitate Competency Assurance through assessments, gap analysis, and development planning.
Conduct training needs assessments to support organizational changes and ensure alignment with new requirements.
Maintain accurate training records in compliance with policies.
Drive a culture of continuous learning and competency development at all levels.
Develop and execute annual training plans tailored to client group needs.
Perform internal reviews and compliance checks to ensure alignment with objectives and standards.
Support or deliver training sessions as needed.
Engage in industry advisory groups to share and gain insights.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in adult learning, education, or a related technical field.
7+ years of experience in leadership or training development roles, particularly in technical environments, or equivalent education and experience.
Oil & Gas industry experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience as a classroom facilitator or coach is an asset.
Familiarity with content creation tools and LMS platforms is an advantage.
Collaborative Relationships:
Work closely with internal teams such as Field Operations, Technical Services, Gas Control, Regulatory, and various functional departments (e.g., Safety, Emergency Response, Engineering). Build and maintain partnerships with external training vendors and professionals.
