Our client is at the forefront of developing a non-viral gene therapy platform capable of precisely targeting various organs in the body, delivering large payloads in multiple formats without the need for invasive procedures.
We are looking for a scientist with strong mass spectrometry and chromatography expertise to develop assays in support of gene therapy programs.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. with 2+ years or M.S. with 6+ years of industry experience in analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry or a related field.
Creativity and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team to achieve technical and corporate milestones.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Technical Requirements and Skills:
Extensive expertise in the development of analytical assays to support drug product characterization, including LC/UV, LC/MS, CE, and biochemical readouts.
Successful development of proteomic and metabolic assays is preferred.
Knowledge of purification with different chromatography methods including HPLC, IEX, and SEC for protein conjugations.
Previous experience using state-of-the-art LC-MS equipment for MRM/SRM and TOF analysis (Shimadzu, Agilent, Waters, ExionLC AE, Sciex).
Analyze proteomics data using proteomics analysis software (Skyline) and bioinformatics tools for protein and peptide quantification.
Working knowledge with recombinant protein downstream purification and characterization.
Research literature and external sources and identify new techniques and procedures.
Ideal candidate will have familiarity with ELNs (i.e. Benchling), Olink-based proteomics, MSD, Western blot, metabolomics and unbiased proteomics analysis.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $150,000.00 USD annually.
