Position: I&C Technician

Schedule: Onsite

Salary: $70,000/yr.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient with multimeters, flow, temperature, RH, humidity, pressure transmitters, and controllers
  • Experienced in instrumentation and calibration
  • Knowledgeable in FDA regulations, GMP, and GLP

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced with O2 and LEL monitors
  • Pharmaceutical or boiler room experience
  • Skilled in reviewing third-party calibration reports

Job Description:

  • Perform Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with specialized equipment, instruments, and systems used in pharmaceutical Research & Development (R&D). This includes identifying root causes of malfunctions and implementing effective solutions.
  • Service Specialized Equipment: Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on a variety of instruments and systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and accurately. This includes calibration, adjustment, and repair of devices such as multimeters, flow meters, temperature sensors, RH and humidity sensors, pressure transmitters, and controllers.
  • Support R&D Operations: Work closely with R&D teams to ensure all instrumentation and equipment meet the required standards for ongoing projects. Provide technical support and guidance to researchers and other staff members.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. This involves regular inspections, testing, and calibration of instruments to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all activities comply with FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Maintain detailed records of maintenance, calibration, and repair activities, and prepare reports as required.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Technical Services: Work as part of the Engineering and Technical Services team to provide comprehensive support for all instrumentation and calibration needs. Participate in team meetings, share insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Vendor and Third-Party Coordination: Review and assess calibration reports from third-party vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance and calibration tasks.
