Under general supervision, this position involves delivering technical training and educational programs to internal and external customers in the Oil & Gas industry. The role demands subject matter expertise in technical training and/or professional development, with a focus on improving soldering standards and techniques. The instructor will support the instructional design process, including curriculum design/redesign, execution, and success metrics.
The instructor will:
Assess course objectives against student performance and identify performance gaps using tools like CPI/EJCS data.
Adapt training program materials to meet employee needs and align content to various learning styles.
Collaborate with assembly teams to develop and implement soldering standards and provide hands-on training.
Ensure that training aligns with Product Service Lines (PSL) and Support Organization competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver soldering standards and training programs.
Provide technical instruction on electronics, soldering techniques, and related tools.
Monitor and evaluate student performance to diagnose and close skill gaps.
Travel as required to meet instructional commitments.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in product service line operations, curriculum development, or training.
Strong soldering and electronics skills.
Experience with training delivery in a technical setting.
Certifications such as IPC J-STD are highly preferred.
