Engineering Manager responsible for leading multi-discipline teams, delivering technical solutions, and overseeing the design, development, and support of new and existing products from inception to end-of-life.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering leadership role, including people management, training, and performance evaluations.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering for manufacturability, preferably in aerospace or defense environments.
Experience with government bids, proposals, and selection processes.
Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Eligibility to obtain US Secret security clearance.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for occasional off-site activities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience providing technical solutions to customers.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage, lead, and coach multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver technical and project objectives.
Provide technical oversight from initial product design through final delivery for new and existing products.
Support business development (BD) and the Program Management Office (PMO) with technical inputs and cost estimates during proposal processes.
Collaborate with BD, Operations, PMO, and Quality teams to ensure successful program execution and product delivery.
Conduct personnel interviews, annual performance reviews, and formulate development plans for team members.
Develop and implement succession plans, mentoring programs, and induction plans aligned with the company's competency framework.
Monitor team performance, address issues, and ensure adherence to company values and engineering standards.
Promote knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous development to retain engineering capability.
Identify and manage resource requirements, ensuring effective recruitment and talent selection.
