Our nation-wide plastic surgery practice is seeking a talented and motivated In-House Assistant Attorney/Litigator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
*Provide legal guidance and support to the practice on a wide range of matters including healthcare regulations, contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and risk management.
*Review, draft, and negotiate various legal documents including contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
*Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
*Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders including executives, managers, and department heads to provide legal advice and guidance.
*Represent the practice in various legal proceedings as necessary.
*Coordinate with outside counsel on various matters.
*Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
*Stay informed about emerging legal trends and best practices in healthcare.
Salary $80,000 - $120,000 per year
Qualifications:
*Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
*Admitted to the bar and licensed to practice law in New York (required) and New Jersey (preferred).
*Experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on healthcare law, litigation, or business law.
*Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
*Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
*Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
