Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set long-term growth targets, including expansion into new markets or product lines.
- Analyse industry trends, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks to maintain the company's competitive edge.
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations across production facilities, dairy farms, and supply chain networks to ensure seamless processes.
- Implement best practices and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Drive innovation in processing, packaging, and logistics to improve product quality and delivery timelines.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of directors and managers across production, quality assurance, supply chain, and logistics departments.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety throughout the organization.
- Develop leadership pipelines by identifying and nurturing high-potential employees.
Financial Management:
- Manage operational budgets exceeding $50M annually, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Oversee capital projects, including facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and technology implementation.
- Deliver measurable cost savings through strategic procurement, process optimization, and waste reduction.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to all FDA, USDA, and state dairy regulations, as well as food safety standards like SQF, HACCP, and GMP.
- Lead initiatives to maintain product quality and reduce recalls or customer complaints.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with all applicable standards.
Sustainability and Innovation:
- Implement sustainability programs to reduce waste, energy consumption, and water usage across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with R&D to develop new products that meet market demands while maintaining operational feasibility.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Food Science, or related field (MBA preferred).

Experience: 10+ years in operations leadership, with at least 5 years in the dairy or food manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale production facilities and supply chains.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics for operational planning.
- Strong understanding of dairy regulations and industry best practices.
