An International Development and Consulting firm is seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
The Sr. IT Project Manager will:
This is a project management senior manager level position requiring performance in the areas of Product Delivery, Technical Capacity, Management and Leadership.
Oversee the overall delivery of the project from planning to release and operations.
Manage project team members and stakeholders to ensure success of the project. The project manager serves as a project management consultant and provides technical leadership and innovation to internal and external clients.
Product Delivery
Proactively manages project team members, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and management expectations.
Aligns project with the overall IT enterprise architecture vision and goals.
Defines success criteria and provides regular updates to management and other stakeholders.
Defines and manages project vision, strategy, tasks, scopes, schedules, budgets, resources, and risks.
Leads and manages UAT and deployment activities.
Leads and manages project vendors to ensure timely deliverables within budget and scope.
Proactively solves project issues promptly and effectively.
Proactively leads and empowers project team members to innovatively deliver product.
Works effectively to ensure appropriate parties are involved and engaged to achieve project goals.
Leads software market research including RFI/RFP development, cost benefit analysis, and selection process.
Oversees overall project activities throughout all phases of SDLC.
Champions and adheres to project management industry standard and best practices.
Provides periodic communications to project sponsors, stakeholders, and management.
Technical Capacity, Management, and Leadership
Prioritizes, improvises, and adapts technologies to address changing business needs and issues.
Takes leadership role in advancing project management and process improvement best practices and tools.
Provides project leadership and management consulting across the enterprise.
Proactively contributes to GTID organizational process improvement initiatives.
Partners with business and GTID leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT capabilities.
Takes on leadership roles in problem solving and responds immediately to emergency situations.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of IT project management experience in planning and implementing enterprise level systems.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required.
Experience in requirement analysis and business process re-engineering required.
Experience with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools required.
Advanced experience with Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive file sync, and Microsoft Teams strongly preferred.
Experience with all phases of SDLC and agile development methodology preferred.
