Job Title: Network Admin II Location: Atwater, CA Contract 2 Hire
The Network Administrator II is an experienced technical position, responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of all Network and Server infrastructure components. This includes maintaining the security, availability, performance, and backup of related computer systems and networks in accordance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities * Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving. * Manage and maintain the corporate Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Network (WLAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) keeping GVHC's environment current and within industry best practices and procedures. * Manage and maintain Server, SAN, and Network infrastructure components keeping the environment current and within industry best practices and procedures. * Document Server and Network topologies and infrastructures in Microsoft Visio. * Adhere to policies ensuring that backup and recovery options are in place including requirements for Disaster Recovery. * Collaborate with vendors as required to support all Network Services and computer systems. * Design, install, configure, document and monitor Network/computer systems performance and proactively report on system status and utilization. * Research and recommend new technologies to improve network services delivery * Maintain and audit network/computer systems security and configuration consistency * Demonstrate basic Project Management abilities at all levels of technology modifications or upgrades, deployments or migrations.
Qualifications/Experience: * Advanced knowledge and understanding of Windows server and terminal services technologies, including Virtual Server operating systems. * Advanced knowledge of SAN technologies. * Advanced understanding and design philosophies of Cisco routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, and the various components of the LAN/WAN infrastructure. * Experience with Project Management skillset, including development of Project Timelines, Project Scope documents, task and deliverable tracking and documentation, agenda and meeting minute development and documentation. - Work on multiple projects within a varied work schedule to maintain system availability during business hours. * Manage task assignments using Ticket Tracking tools and other methods. * 3+ years of relevant network and/or server administration experience, OR associate's degree in information technologies - PLUS * 2+ years of relevant network and/or server administration experience. * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification - strongly preferred. * Excellent communication and analytical skills * A valid Class C California Driver's License, acceptable driving history and proof of liability insurance.
