One of our clients in Burbank, Los Angeles is looking for a Network Engineer with the following skills and experience:
Position: Network Engineer
Schedule:
Workdays/Hours:Wednesday through Sunday, 8 AM - 5 PM PST.
Hybrid Role: In-office on Wednesday through Friday; remote work on Saturday and Sunday.
On-Call Duty: Approximately every 1-1.5 months, requiring a 30-minute response time and onsite availability within an hour. Shift coverage rotates among a five-person team, with potential overnight shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.
Education & Certifications:
Education: No degree required.
Certifications: Preferred certifications include JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-MistAI, JNCIA-SEC, ACE-A, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, BIG-IP, or DDI Professional.
Must-Have Skills
Technical Expertise in Core Networking:
Strong proficiency in routing, switching, and firewalls across enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with protocols such as MPLS and BGP.
Experience with Juniper and Palo Alto Environments:
Expertise in Juniper networks and Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama for VPN management and rule configuration.
Data Center Network Management:
Proven ability to manage data center networks and perform turn-ups, turn-downs, and routing configurations.
Wi-Fi and DNS Troubleshooting:
Familiarity with troubleshooting Cisco and Mist Wi-Fi products.
Strong knowledge of DNS configurations, including A records and domain handling.
Network Automation and Scripting:
Basic knowledge of tools like Ansible and Terraform for network scripting and automation.
Collaboration and Communication:
Effective teamwork and communication skills to engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with virtualized network environments and advanced automation.
Experience in media production or post-production network setups.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset for identifying and resolving issues.
