Tyto Athene is searching for a Knowledge Management and Training SME to lead and enhance our knowledge management and training initiatives inside one of our federal security operations centers (SOC). This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing the SOC's knowledge management systems, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and training programs.
This role offers an opportunity to directly impact the efficiency and performance of one of our SOCs. As a Knowledge Management and training SME, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our operational excellence, driving best practices and fostering team growth.
Responsibilities
Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, documentation status, and training effectiveness.
Develop, maintain, and optimize SOPs and playbooks to ensure the Watchfloor operates at peak efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their training period, ensuring they have the support and guidance needed to transition into their roles confidently.
Collaborate with leadership to identify and address gaps in current policies and procedures.
Continuously evaluate and enhance training programs based on stakeholder feedback and evolving industry best practices.
Act as a central point of contact for documentation updates and procedural improvements.
Work across teams to ensure alignment on knowledge-sharing and training priorities.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in knowledge management, training, or operations management, preferably in a help desk or SOC environment.
Proven expertise in developing, writing, and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and technical documentation to ensure operational excellence and consistency.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and convey complex information.

PMP Certification
Experience with knowledge and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, or Jira.
Background in designing and implementing training programs, including needs assessments and evaluating program outcomes to ensure their success.
