About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in supporting the Service Mesh infrastructure layer for a prominent financial institution. This role is integral to ensuring seamless communication, monitoring, and security between various applications across the organization. You will be working on platforms that run exclusively on HashiCorp Consul and Kubernetes, requiring deep technical expertise in these technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineer and support the Service Mesh infrastructure layer, facilitating secure and efficient application communication.
Design, implement, and maintain cloud containerization platforms, focusing on Kubernetes.
Manage and optimize microservices architecture within the service mesh environment.
Deploy and configure HashiCorp Consul to enhance monitoring and security across applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the service mesh layer, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5-7 years of Cloud Engineering experience in the financial services industry.
Hands-on experience working with Service Mesh infrastructure layers.
Proficiency in cloud containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
Strong expertise in HashiCorp Consul for service discovery and monitoring.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and associated engineering practices.
Proven track record in implementing secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working within highly regulated industries, such as finance or banking.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
