A Day in the Life
This role will be part of the Product Development & Test Applications group supporting multiple programs across OUs. The primary role will be to support Affera and Test development for that product line

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Direct day to day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations.

  • Responsible for project performance, risk management, administration, financial management, budgeting, capital planning, forecasting and issue resolution.

  • Solve issues through information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties on program execution plans

  • Lead or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Manage the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.

  • Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery.

  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

  • Gather requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project's key stakeholders.

  • Communicate with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years related experience or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in electrical engineering design and manufacturing organizations, as well as mastery of the design interfaces involving electrical, mechanical, and chemical interactions. This can include experience such as in advanced packing, PCB/PWB assemblies, IC design, and medical device design.

  • Understands design controls as part of regulatory standards

  • Minimum of 10 years in Product or Program Management discipline

  • Strong engineering background and ability to ask good critical questions to prevent and mitigate risks

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and positively influence strategies and outcomes.

  • Technical depth to drive electrical development, electrical issue to root cause and train employees to do the same.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Leadership skills associated with influence management.

  • Responsive Customer focus.

  • Systems mind-set

  • Solid judgment and problem solving skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$164,800.00 - $247,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
