The Domestic Operations Agent is responsible for the outcome of assigned client projects including customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities:
Ability to quote and route freight across multiple transportation channels and services.
Quote customers on shipments timely and accurately.
Communicate with sales on quotes timely to secure business.
Track and trace domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground.
Able to troubleshoot and overcome operational challenges by proactively communicating with clients and vendors.
Assist local sales and domestic offices with air/ground freight issues.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers regarding shipment status.
Comply with TSA regulations regarding booking, routing of all air and ground shipments.
Take booking requests, arrange shipments from beginning to end, to ensure bookings are made at current and accurate rates, and in the most cost-effective and time-efficient route.
Communicate effectively with carriers, origin and destination locations regarding shipment status, special handling, and delivery processes.
Proactively notify customers of the status of shipments. Reports customer complaints escalate shipping problems to management and participate in problem resolution.
Provide assistance to other departments in daily work interactions, to identify, organize, and coordinate customer shipping requirements.

High School diploma and/or GED required. Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years' previous Freight Forwarding experience.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, AS400 experience preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage the volume of customer shipments and contacts.
