Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Benefits Specialist to join our team and take ownership of benefits administration for a growing company with approximately 300 employees across multiple states. As the sole benefits professional, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of employee benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and serving as the subject matter expert for the organization.
Primary Functions:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with benefits-related questions or issues, providing clear and timely responses to ensure a positive employee experience.
Handle benefits changes related to qualifying life events, such as marriage, birth, or divorce, and ensure timely updates to employee benefits.
Manage the benefits enrollment process for new hires, ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed accurately and on time.
Act as the subject matter expert on employee benefits, particularly in Ceridian Dayforce software, to ensure accurate and efficient benefits administration.
Maintain regular communication with benefits carriers to ensure smooth processing of employee benefits. Address and resolve file feed issues promptly.
Administer and manage the company's 401(k) enrollment process, providing guidance to employees on plan options and ensuring all records are accurately maintained.
Skills & Knowledge:
3-5+ years of experience in benefits management or a related HR role.
Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce software is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of benefits-related laws and regulations, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and FMLA.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness initiatives, and flexible spending accounts.
