SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER
The Role
The Senior Procurement Manager will be an integral part in helping to build out and support the organization's procure-to-pay processes. This role will be responsible for driving efficiencies and best practices within our procurement processes and systems, and will be the primary liaison between internal business owners, key stakeholders, and external suppliers. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment, has the ability to build out processes, has strong negotiation skills, embraces a collaborative work style and possesses a customer and operations focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and optimize best practices and purchasing policies for the organization's procurement processes.
Collaborate with business leaders across the company to develop procurement strategies that support business objectives.
Oversee day-to-day procure-to-pay operations by reviewing purchase requests, collaborating with business owners and key stakeholders, and ensuring the timely processing of requests.
Identify opportunities to leverage purchasing power, and negotiate favorable vendor contracts, payment terms, and pricing.
Administer the procurement system and optimize approval workflows.
Provide analytical insights into key metrics that support the organization's buying decisions, drive process improvements, and establish cost savings.
Develop a vendor sourcing process and assist in consolidating existing vendor relationships.
Monitor and assist business owners on contract renewals and negotiations.
Support ad hoc projects and analyses as required.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
8+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a SaaS or technical environment.
Experience working with one or more procurement systems. Zip experience is a plus.
Ability to deliver high-quality service with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of or experience with contract negotiations.
Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced team environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
Ability to work cross functionally with finance, legal, compliance, and infosec departments.
Action oriented with a strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duration: 1/6/2025 to start, to run for 3-6 months.
Daily Schedule: M-F, 40 hours a week, no OT anticipated.
Location: Role is open to onsite hybrid in Santa Monica, CA, also open to fully remote candidate.
