Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering successful IT initiatives. This role is pivotal in managing project timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues while ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to SDLC methodologies. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, vendors, and sponsors to achieve project goals and deliver quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple workstreams, ensuring seamless collaboration.
Develop and manage detailed project plans using MS Project, tracking tasks, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
Oversee technical project teams, balancing resource and budget requirements to align with business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors to drive effective project delivery.
Ensure consistent documentation and tool usage across all projects in compliance with SDLC methodologies.
Monitor and report project/program progress, resource allocation, and budget performance, including forecasting and actuals.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, fostering engagement and alignment.
Take ownership of project quality, ensuring deliverables meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively and escalating when necessary.
Lead platform enhancements and complex initiatives by partnering with internal and external experts (technical, business, compliance, etc.).
Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic guidance to influence project direction and business strategies.
Remove obstacles, manage conflicts, and negotiate priorities to keep projects on track.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Certifications: PMP Certification (or equivalent); familiarity with PMBOK methodology.
Methodologies: Experience with Agile (CSM certification preferred but not required).
Tools Proficiency: MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, and other project management tools.
Industry Experience: 3-5 years in financial services or insurance industries.
IT Project Management: 4+ years managing large-scale programs or portfolios with integration experience.
Vendor Management: 2+ years managing vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations (SOW/Invoice).
Financial Acumen: Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management of programs/portfolios.
Preferred Skills
Expertise in project forecasting and budget management.
