LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable Louisville, KY client to identify a Payroll Director for their growing team. This is a newly created role within the team with a heavy emphasis on processing, system management/implementation and leadership of junior staff. The ideal candidate will offer a roll up their sleeves type of attitude and be a proactive solution focused leader.
Responsibilities:
Oversee payroll process for 4,000+ employees including data input, calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and distribution of payments.
Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure success.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations, ensuring compliance and reporting.
Prepare and review payroll reports for accuracy.
Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Assist in the preparation of payroll budgets and forecasts.
Act as a leader on system management, implementation and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
5+ years of leadership experience- Senior or Director level.
System implementation experience.
In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Additional Details:
Hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days in office
$100-130k
