Degree in Education, with a focus on early childhood learning highly desirable
experience teaching children in a Pre-Kindergarten group
Mediation skills for understanding children's emotional needs, resolving conflicts among children, and standing as a positive role model for impressionable minds.
Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, empathy, and a lot of energy.
Familiarity using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities:
Following the curriculum to develop and carry out innovative and exciting lesson plan with age-appropriate classroom practices that support the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of young children to meet the standards of CYGA ACADEMY.
Setting up the materials and creating a positive learning environment and workspace required for class activities.
Using creative, hands-on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
Keeping schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity and rest.
Instilling a sense of respect and discipline, so that children work effectively in a classroom setting.
Supervising children outside of class time, such as during lunch, out on the playground, or on field trips.
Creating reports to inform parents about their children's progress at school. Communicating with parents professionally.
Making sure that the classroom is clean, safe, and well-organized.
