FTG Builders is a non-union General Contractor specializing in healthcare and higher education construction with projects in Chandler and Mesa. We are looking for an experienced superintendent with hospital and or commercial construction.
Objectives of this Role

Manage projects on schedule, budget, and lead project to completion.
Manage sub-contractors, FTG field crews, and competently collaborate with clients and PMs.
Responsibilities:
Deliver projects on schedule and manage full scope of construction as per scope of work and contractual obligations.
Deliver on construction schedule(s), Look-A-heads, and promptly inform all team members, including subcontractors and suppliers, of any construction schedule expectations, goal, and changes.
Delivers on skilled craftsmanship and manages quality controls to deliver the highest degree of quality for clients.
Coordinates and collaborates with PM on schedules, production, budget, and any needs of the project daily.
Competently captures construction progress and details in daily reports.
Efficiently manage Subcontractors, laborers, apprentice carpenters, and carpenters.
Interpret construction plan drawings, trade schedules, and specifications daily.
Track and review submittals & differed submittals, including product information, shop drawings, and samples, to ensure conformance drawings.
Compose, manage, and be fully responsible for RFI's on projects. Work with the project team PEs to write RFIs, process, and track due dates.
Understand and follow the HCAi submittal workflow for the specific project.
Track drawing revisions, including ASIs, ACDs, and NMAs.
Track, coordinate, and deliver on TIO, city, or special inspection requirements with the ability to foster and maintain relationships with IOR and inspectors.
Manage projects using Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office products.
Present project updates at weekly OAC and coordination meetings.
Experienced safety officer and ensures OSHA compliance and overall worker safety and implements safety controls as needed.
Manages safety incidents as per standard IIPP, WVPP, and other safety protocols.
Skilled at installation of infection control measures and containment and ongoing quality control of ICRA/PICRA/ILSM.
Skilled at precision medical equipment layout, anchoring, and equipment vendor coordination.
Leads, manages, is collaborative, dependable, and energetic daily. Models being a team player.
Exceptional understanding of metal stud framing construction and details.
Extensive understanding of ADA codes.
Required skills and qualifications:
A minimum of (10) years' experience in the construction industry with a minimum of (3) years as a Healthcare Superintendent.
Ability to assist others, share knowledge, lead, and manage/coach team members.
Is dependable, models integrity, and is energetic.
Excellent oral communication skills and proficient with e-mail and written communication.
Must be a team player who collaborates with coworkers, subs, owners, and design team.
Able to skillfully manage multiple projects and pivot priorities when urgency on a project dictate change.
Proven history of problem-solving skills.
Experience with HCAi/OSHPD and city permitted projects.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be fully vaccinated.
Must be open to background check within compliance of CA and Federal Laws.
Preferred Experience and Skillsets
Managing medical equipment replacement experience is a plus - CT, X-ray, MRI, Cath Lab, and Lab.
Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Excel.
Understanding of IT infrastructure projects.
Cable distribution knowledge.
Electrical & Mechanical systems knowledge.
Prior experience working in Acute Care Hospital environments.
Knowledge of infection control procedures.
