The Staff Project Controls Specialist will lead the project controls processes alongside the internal project management team to ensure project deliverables are executed within budget and schedule.
Ensure proper project set-up in Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
Analyze data, review logs, and generate reports using Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
Develop and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Develop, implement, and maintain effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple projects.
Adhere to project execution plans.
Responsible for engineering, procurement, construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.
Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
Approve Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for accurate coding.
Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.
Collaborate with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review project and contingency costs and support external audits.
Review upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order and subcontract) change orders.
Develop and present cash flow reports.
Create and analyze schedules at various levels.
Apply and review logic ties within schedules.
Monitor resource loading within schedules.
Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
Generate schedule reports and determine appropriate reporting formats.
Develop, review, and analyze pre-programmed project scheduling reports and backup documentation for accuracy.
Consult with the project team regarding schedule progress.
Analyze and evaluate schedule management, including critical path method (CPM) scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting.
Perform schedule "what-if" scenarios.
Develop and maintain an earned value management system (EVMS).
Input and validate progress measurement.
Develop and maintain progress curves.
Perform material takeoffs.
Conduct quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
Perform field audits to validate reporting accuracy and processes.
Assist with Project Forensic Analysis as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and 3 years of direct project controls experience required; OR
Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
OSHA 10-hour safety certification (or ability to obtain).
