Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join its Product Development team, which is focused on driving innovation in energy-related customer programs. The selected candidate will lead the development and management of multiple projects within the client's clean transportation, advanced grid, and demand management portfolios. This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams, innovative initiatives, and stakeholders both internal and external.

The Project Manager will report directly to the Product Portfolio Manager, coordinating workloads, removing barriers, and ensuring successful delivery of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple projects in clean energy, electric vehicle programs, advanced grid initiatives, and demand management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, technical experts (e.g., distribution systems, finance, legal, regulatory), and external vendors/stakeholders.
  • Drive coordination and outputs of cross-functional teams to ensure program success.
  • Develop financial plans, evaluate competition and markets, and execute project management activities.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external customers/vendors, attending site visits as necessary.
  • Support innovation projects, particularly in the greater Denver Metro area, and occasionally travel to team meetings or conferences (~10%).
  • Ensure compliance with the company's policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, program management, engineering, or regulatory administration.
  • At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Competitive product development
  • Demand-side management
  • Renewable energy
  • Energy monitoring or information services
  • Experience with developing financial plans, evaluating markets, and managing projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Preferred:
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of utility regulation and experience in the utilities or energy industry.
  • Experience with utility customer programs (energy efficiency, renewable energy, EV, demand management).
  • Familiarity with design thinking or customer-centric design methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience engaging customers in product or program design.
