Education / Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent technical training and work experience • 7+ years of building construction experience • 7+ years of experience with commissioning processes
Job Summary:
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support multiple data center commissioning projects across the US. The Commissioning Engineer reports directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for managing and coordinating commissioning activities by owner furnished contractor installed (OFCI) vendors, subcontractors and third-party testing agencies. The Commissioning Engineer plays an integral role in the safe and efficient delivery of all commissioning activities to ensure accuracy and safety throughout the process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Facilitates the scheduling and coordination of Commissioning activities with Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) Vendors, subcontractors and project superintendents during commissioning. • Ensures documentation accuracy of all testing results from the commissioning activities. • Manages and coordinates identifying issues, root cause analysis, and resolution by Commissioning team. • Develops, implements, and administers project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents. • Ensures project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. • Provides technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. • Represents company, project and/or department during Architectural and Engineering process, as well as client and project management meetings. • Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedule.
