The Senior Director Operations for ACS (Air Control Systems) USA leads our 6 ACS Plants in the USA with $300M in revenue and 1100 people . You will be accountable to drive the day to day operation, ensure the safety of our employees, quality and service levels for our customer, drive the Lean transformation (ADMS) and achieving the P&L targets.
You will be heavily involved in shaping the future of the business, through creation and execution of strategic initiatives included in the 3-5 year Hoshin Kanri, while developing the team through coaching at the Gemba. Also you will leverage best practices across the plants, participate and sponsor Kaizens, support and coach the team at the Gemba , demonstrating Servant Leadership while improving SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost).
This position will be based out of Grandview MO or Plano TX.
How you will do it
Lead by example and drive a culture of Safety first where every employee returns home safe for their families.
Drive SQDC consistency across all 6 plants through daily management and kaizen execution.
Leverage S&OP process to effectively manage capacity, level load plants and increase On Time Delivery.
Develop and implement the Gross Margin roadmap to achieve / exceed Financial Plan.
Drive and sponsor the Lean Transformation across the Product Group, through our priority principles - JIT, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, Flow, Zero Defects and Takt.
Partner with the Global Functions to effectively improve process and drive SQDC improvement.
Develop a strong talent pipeline through OTR (Organizational Talent Review) for all key Operations functions.
Partner with the General Manager of the BU in defining and executing the business strategy.
Establish and maintain strong communication with the commercial team focused on customer satisfaction.
Implementation of HPTs and other development & communication best practices focus to maximize team leadership and engagement
Implement in the 3-5 year Hoshin Kanri Priority initiative across the Product Group.
What we look for
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field. Master degree is desired.
12 years of manufacturing experience with 5 years as Plant Manager and 3 years leading multi-site operations.
Strong knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and ability to effectively implement it.
Clear understanding of process and best practices of all direct and indirect functions in operations (EHS, Quality, HR, CI/Lean, AME, Materials, Maintenance, Transportation and Finance).
Hands on approach, coaching team on the Gemba in how to solve problems, improve processes using Lean.
Clear understanding of Daily Management from shop floor to PG level (Above plant).
Ability to connect P&L with Operational KPIs on a effective and clear way.
Logical thinking and concise communication.
Comfortable in communication with all levels from our Machine Operators to our CEO.
High energy with ability to continually motivate the team.
