Core Function:
To be responsible for estimating project costs using customer-provided documents and drawings. This role involves ensuring accurate material, labor, and vendor cost estimations to meet project scope requirements.

Responsibilities:
Perform lump sum "takeoff" of material, labor, and vendor costs using design drawings and specifications.
Communicate with General Contractors to clarify project requirements and timelines.
Request and manage vendor quotes for materials and services.
Review project specifications to ensure full scope coverage in estimates.
Provide the estimating manager with detailed Scope of Work, inclusions/exclusions, and qualifications for proposal submission.
Track bid progress and follow up with contractors on bid awards.
Requirements:
High School diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the steel fabrication industry.
Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with Blue Beam and On-Screen Takeoff.
Knowledge of AISC practices, construction standards, and procedures from award to closeout.
