About the Role:
The Director of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) will lead the development and implementation of a district-wide MTSS framework that supports the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth of students. This leader will oversee research-based MTSS strategies and interventions while guiding district and campus leaders to ensure student achievement and engagement. The Director will also play a critical role in advising on policy, managing key programs, and fostering continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee district-wide systems for high-quality instruction and interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Lead and manage district summer learning programs and at-risk student initiatives.
Develop and implement MTSS plans in collaboration with campus leaders, ensuring alignment with district goals.
Guide and support MTSS coordinators, instructional coaches, and campus-level teams in implementing MTSS practices.
Analyze data on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions to drive improvements.
Plan and deliver professional development to enhance MTSS practices across the district.
Manage MTSS policies, implementation plans, and annual departmental budgets.
Supervise and evaluate MTSS staff, fostering professional growth and performance excellence.
Build strong collaborative relationships with district and campus leaders to promote continuous improvement.
Entry Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Valid Texas Teacher Certification.
Minimum of four years of relevant work experience, including three years of classroom teaching experience.
Proven expertise in implementing MTSS strategies, managing programs, and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
