We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Master Production Scheduler to join our team within the power industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing the production processes in a power generation facility or related sector. This role requires the ability to manage complex production workflows, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery of products and services while meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Proficiency in SAP for production planning and scheduling is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain the production schedule using SAP, based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity. Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet production goals.
Resource Management: Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower for production processes.
Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity through SAP and other planning tools to provide recommendations for adjustments to avoid bottlenecks and ensure deadlines are met.
Process Optimization: Continuously monitor production performance within SAP, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
Inventory Management: Leverage SAP for monitoring and controlling inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring optimal inventory turnover without disruption to production.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of the production plan. Provide timely updates to stakeholders on production status, delays, and adjustments.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production data within SAP, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate regular reports for senior management regarding production schedules, performance, and resource utilization.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all production processes align with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Assist in maintaining certifications and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing operations, ideally within the power generation or energy industry.
Strong understanding of production processes, planning techniques, and resource management.
Proficiency in SAP (especially in SAP PP and SAP MM modules) for production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) is a plus.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with power plant operations, renewable energy, or energy management systems.
Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
Project management experience or PMP certification is a plus.
