Estimating & Procurement: Prepare initial project estimates and develop trade buy-out strategies in partnership with the operations team.
Tender Coordination: Work closely with external consultants to manage and oversee the tendering process.
Pricing Strategy: Lead the development of pricing strategies for general expenses and project-specific requirements on medium to large-scale projects.
Client Engagement: Contribute to the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations to clients.
Contract Review: Analyze contract documents and specifications for various project delivery methods, including hard-bid/lump sum, construction management, and design-build.
Scheduling: Create critical path schedules with key milestones to ensure on-time project completion.
Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials across significant scopes of work.
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk and opportunity analyses, incorporating findings into the project's risk register.
Performance Monitoring: Track and ensure project success criteria are achieved, addressing challenges with innovative solutions.
Market Expansion: Collaborate with a team driving an expansion into the Oregon and SW Washington markets.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent trade experience.
Experience: Over 10 years of progressive construction cost estimating experience, including at least 12 months of on-site involvement.
Project Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading estimates and managing pursuits for projects valued up to $250 million.
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, planning, and scheduling.
Extensive experience in bid preparation, trade procurement, and bid closing processes.
Proficient in understanding contract terms and identifying associated risks.
