TITLE: IT Director
LOCATION: North Houston/The Woodlands area
TYPE: Direct Hire
SALARY: $160,000-$165,000 base salary with 30% annual bonus -Full Benefits package.
SUMMARY:
The IT Director will lead the technology initiatives and drive the development of innovative solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, cybersecurity, and systems architecture, along with excellent leadership skills to inspire and manage a high-performing IT team. The IT Director will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems, including applications and infrastructure. This role requires a technical background and the ability to drive technological advancement that supports the business objectives.
DUTIES:
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology needs and ensure the efficient use of IT resources.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse IT team.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and innovation.
- Manage and optimize the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
- Oversee IT projects from conception to completion.
- Utilize best practices to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and infrastructure. Stay current on emerging threats and industry trends.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and cost control.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Enhance user experience by ensuring effective IT support services are in place, addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and cybersecurity practices.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology solutions.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
