Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on General Manager to lead our resort to new heights. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with extensive experience in 4- and 5-star hotels. Comfortable reporting directly to the owner, the successful candidate must demonstrate resilience, determination, and the ability to build a high-performing team. This role requires strong operational expertise, an eye for detail, and the ability to inspire and empower teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on management of all resort operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, and recreation facilities.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations by maintaining a visible and active presence on the property.
  • Monitor and manage the resort's financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, ensuring alignment with established goals.

Revenue Management:
  • Develop and execute revenue-generating strategies, including room rate optimization, upselling initiatives, and special promotions.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive bookings and optimize occupancy rates.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to maximize revenue across all segments.

Guest Satisfaction:
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the guest experience, ensuring personalized service and consistent delivery of high-quality standards.
  • Monitor guest feedback through reviews, surveys, and direct interactions, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a culture of guest-first service, training staff to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.

Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and staff, building a high-performing team dedicated to excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and development plans to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented workplace culture.

Property Maintenance & Standards:
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring all facilities are in excellent condition.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce brand standards across all areas of the resort.

Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage the resort's annual budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor financial reports and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Work closely with ownership or corporate offices to align financial goals and strategies.

Community and Stakeholder Relations:
  • Act as the primary ambassador for the resort, fostering relationships with local businesses, government officials, and the community.
  • Represent the resort in industry events and forums to enhance its reputation and visibility.
  • Build strong partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to support operational needs.

Requirements:

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury resort or hospitality management, specifically in 4- and 5-star properties.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue and improving guest satisfaction.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software.
  • Hands-on and approachable management style, with a focus on visibility and accessibility.
  • Results-driven mindset with a relentless focus on achieving and exceeding goals.

Education:
