We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Physical Security Systems Analyst to join our team, supporting the maintenance, implementation, and modernization of the client's physical security systems. This role involves hands-on work with security equipment, troubleshooting, implementing end-of-life replacement strategies, supporting service calls, and acting as a key support to the Lead Analyst. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of taking ownership of various tasks related to physical security technology, standards, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-of-Life Equipment Implementation:
- Assist in the replacement and implementation of end-of-life security equipment, including cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
2. Service and Maintenance Support:
- Respond to service calls and support the maintenance and troubleshooting of physical security systems to minimize downtime.
- Address and resolve system issues, ensuring security systems are consistently operational.
3. Backup for Lead Analyst:
-Serve as a backup to the Lead Analyst, stepping in to handle critical responsibilities, ensuring continuity of projects and system oversight during times of absence.
4. Updating Security Standards:
- Assist in updating and maintaining security system standards and associated documentation, ensuring they align with best practices and the latest technology advancements.
5. Technology Development and Testing:
- Assist in evaluating, developing, and testing new technologies and innovations in physical security.
- Participate in proof-of-concept testing and help identify the suitability of new solutions for deployment across the company
6. Site Implementation Assistance:
- Provide on-site support for the implementation of new technologies and equipment upgrades across various company locations, ensuring successful deployment.
7. System Audits and Labeling:
- Participate in physical and software-based equipment audits, ensuring all equipment is appropriately labeled and performing battery replacements where necessary.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for installations, upgrades, audits, and service activities.
- Contribute to reports on project status, equipment health, and other metrics as required.
9. Collaborative Engagement:
- Work collaboratively with Facilities, Security, IT teams, and integrators (such as PSI and SDI) to support project execution and alignment with timelines.
10. Support for Security Operations Center:
- Ensure reliable alarm data and provide assistance in fine-tuning system configurations, thereby improving the responsiveness of the Security Operations Center and reducing unnecessary notifications.
11. Emergency Support:
-Provide continual support during outages, patches, and system changes, ensuring physical security systems remain operational and accessible.
12. Equipment Refresh Planning:
- Contribute to the annual equipment refresh cycle, prioritizing and assisting in the replacement of outdated equipment to maintain optimal system functionality.
13. Vendor and Manufacturer Liaison:
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for equipment support, warranty claims, training, and troubleshooting.
14. Continuous Improvement:
- Create and refine quick reference guides, training materials, and documentation for internal teams to improve efficiency and enable self-resolution of common issues.
15. Site Security Coverage:
- Participate in site walks, security audits, and on-site evaluations to ensure adequate security coverage. Provide recommendations for improvements and assist with best practice implementation.
Qualifications: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • 2-4 years of experience in physical security systems, access control, surveillance, or a similar field. • Experience with physical security technologies such as access control systems, surveillance systems, and alarm systems (e.g., CCure 9000, Avigilon). • CCure 9000 certification required. • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide efficient solutions. • Strong organizational and documentation skills. • Willingness to travel to various company sites as needed. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of Avigilon, Software House, or similar security systems. • Experience working with service integrators such as PSI and SDI. • Familiarity with updating and implementing security standards. • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
