The Scoping Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) job designs for feasibility and identifying where alternate designs will be needed. The designs will be reviewed and walked in the field. Any areas that need to be addressed will be noted and communicated. The Scoping Supervisor will also identify the materials that will be needed (innerduct sizes, etc.) and will trigger the Bill of Materials (BOM). They will also collaborate with the Construction Project Manager on the job needs and help with close out packages as jobs complete.
This position can work out of Apopka or Ft. Myers, FL. Candidates must currently be in one of these markets and able to work on site and in the field in these areas.
Daily Responsibilities
Review Construction Prints and Evaluate Engineering Design
Walk the jobs to determine feasibility and identify any impediments where design updates will be needed
Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager and Client
Identify any materials that will be needed and trigger the Bill of Materials (BOM)
Review impacted jurisdictions to identify the permits that will be required
Help with Close Out Packages on completed projects
Other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
3 - 5 Years of Wireline Outside Plant Design & Engineering Experience
3 - 5 Years Fiber to the Home (FTTH) experience
Demonstrated ability to Read and Interpret Construction Prints
Highly detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Demonstrated Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
