Our client is a leading general contractor specializing in civil utilities and power generation projects across Massachusetts. We are seeking dedicated and experienced Senior Project Managers to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of key projects in the region.
Your New Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will manage 3-5 projects simultaneously, with values ranging from $500,000 to $1 million+
Your responsibilities will include:
Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including estimating, cost management, budget forecasting, scheduling, and contract negotiation.
Team Coordination: Supervise and manage project teams, including Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Project Engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and providing regular project updates.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial targets are achieved.
Quality Control: Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality guidelines.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management within the civil utilities and power sector.
Proven management insight to maximize employee productivity and performance.
Complete understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Participation in industry organizations and the ability to bring in new client opportunities.
Willingness to travel for work.
Proficiency in software and database tools such as HeavyJob, HeavyBid, InSight Sitework, Vela, Primavera P6, MS Office, and MS Project.
Experience with project QA/QC programs.
Strong construction background, with a plus for utility/power experience.
Ability to successfully perform take-offs and budgets for estimates up to $25M.
OSHA 30-Hour Training.
