About the role
The Ground Handling Training Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality of training programs for ground handling staff. This includes ensuring that training procedures comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures continuous improvement in training effectiveness, leading to a highly skilled and compliant ground-handling workforce that guarantees safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
Works closely with the operation to successfully implement and deploy customer and internal quality objectives effectively and efficiently per client service to the aircraft: Ex Cabin Cleaning, Security, or Baggage Handling
Ensure all new hires receive quality training according to their role and service.
Responsible for ensuring all training syllabi are accurate, up-to-date, and reviewed quarterly
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to quality systems and continuous improvement.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of training sessions to ensure they meet established standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IATA, ICAO, ISAGO, local civil aviation authorities).
Tour and inspect service departments during both day and overnight operations weekly to ensure that cleaning and security services teams are following specific guidelines for proper Aircraft service
Identify and resolve any gaps in training, ensuring all ground handling staff are adequately trained and compliant with safety and operational protocols.
Understanding all clients' training manuals and ensuring the training regimen is compliant according to their requirements for Cabin, Security, Cargo, and other ground handling services.
Lead and mentor a team of trainers, providing guidance on training techniques, best practices, and performance expectations.
Conduct periodic evaluations of trainers to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality training.
Analyze feedback from trainees and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in training programs.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives, modifying training methods or content as necessary.
Collect and analyze statistical quality data for areas of improvement across the department.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and certifications.
Provide regular reports to senior management on the effectiveness of training programs, including metrics on training completion, compliance rates, and improvements in operational performance.
Collaborate with HR and operations departments to address specific training needs and schedule training sessions accordingly.
What we are looking
Bachelor's Degree or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience in aviation, business administration, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in ground handling operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role focused on training and quality assurance.
Familiarity with industry standards, including IATA and ICAO guidelines.
Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training effectiveness and implement improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Knowledge of quality management principles and auditing processes.
Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge from the airport

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbents may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role and requires being able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally, the person in this position is required to move/traverse inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. The person in this position regularly communicates with others in person, by phone, or by correspondence. This position will also require walking across the airport/services for auditing reasons.
