About the Company:

We are delighted to partner with an RNG developer/owner/operator looking for a Project Cost Controller to join their rapidly expanding team.

About the Role:

The Cost Controller will oversee and manage the financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support the company's financial success and stability.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector, with a project value exceeding $50 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and control budgets to ensure accurate financial planning and cost control.
  • Cost Tracking: Track, analyze, and report on project costs, identifying variances and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure financial stability.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all financial activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cost control activities.
  • Construction Project Management: Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that costs are managed within budget and aligned with project timelines. Work closely with project managers to forecast expenditures and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Contract Management: Review and manage contracts related to projects, ensuring that all financial terms are met and adhered to. Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies. Monitor contract performance and address any financial discrepancies.

Your Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control, financial management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, proficiency in financial software and tools, and exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of budgeting, cost control principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards is a plus. Experience in construction project management and contract management is highly desirable.
