Red Mountain Group is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Transaction Manager/ Paralegal to join our Acquisition/Disposition/Financing team in our Santa Ana, CA office! The ideal candidate will have paralegal and notary experience and assist with the preparation and review of commercial real estate transaction documents, including but not limited to purchase and sale agreements, title reports, loan agreements, due diligence materials, and escrow closing documents. A strong understanding of commercial real estate transaction closings, effective verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks/ priorities will lead to success in this role.
Responsibilities
Drafts Purchase and Sale agreements, amendments, and all other transactional notices/ letters.
Assists and/or conducts title and due diligence reviews.
Drafts and manage closing documents including routing documents for signatures.
Updates and distributes the company's transaction monitor weekly or as needed.
Maintains critical dates/ timelines of transactions and notifies team members accordingly.
Prepares wire transfer requests and processes transaction related invoices for payment.
Prepares and distributes transaction "hand-off packages".
Obtains proposals and coordinates services for 3rd party vendors, such as environmental, property conditions, ALTA surveys, etc.
Maintains and organizes transaction documents.
Communicates daily with co-workers, escrow, title, lenders, tenants, vendors, and other legal professionals.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Paralegal Certificate
2+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, retail preferred
Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, contracts, and legal documentation
Excellent organizational, research and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel and Adobe Acrobat
Licensed California Notary preferable
A self-starter who demonstrates accountability and interest to keep learning
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others
Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion
