REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable reaching out to Members and their families by phone, in a classroom and in a one-on-one environment.
Independent and self-motivated, with strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in an organized, efficient manner.
Ability to learn and comprehend complex government programs and explain them in a straightforward, understandable manner.
Strong research skills to write, deliver and present articles, webinars and presentations
Familiarity with the military, government benefits, entitlement programs, and related retirement issues.
General knowledge of financial literacy, personal finance, and resources.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office products to include CRM.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain and expand Member relationships by reaching out to current and prospective Members to ensure that they understand the value of their membership and all of AAFMAA's services.
Represent AAFMAA in the military community; actively develop centers of influence to help grow the membership.
Research, develop and maintain current, in-depth knowledge of relevant subject matters: i.e., military & veteran family financial education and resources, military retirement, benefits for surviving family members, Social Security, Medicare, government benefits and entitlement programs.
Provide financial education to existing and prospective Members to guide them through important financial, military-specific decisions.
Manage and maintain Members' AAFMAA files, including their personal information, digital online depository, and physical document storage. This includes communicating with Members to collect or update information, and inputting changes to records as updates come in.
