Description:
As Renewal Coordinator, you will be responsible for upholding GBS Benefits exceptional reputation, delivering extraordinary customer experience and driving operational excellence. Renewal Coordinators are required to execute and deliver on metrics and objectives as outlined by their manager. This is a full-time office position that works closely with one of our broker teams performing tasks. You will be performing a high level of administrative work that is essential to the care of our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage renewals of employer-based employee benefit packages for GBS Benefits
Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment; you must be driven to succeed and willing to strive to be the best. You must bring a high level of energy and be committed to assisting clients, brokers, account managers, and administrative support
Ability to assist with new business and manage renewals of current business
Effective follow-up skills
Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
Model team commitment by meeting deadlines; and by being cooperative, collaborative, and flexible
Assist the broker team with renewing a client's policies upon anniversary
Model the behaviors expected of all GBS Benefits associates including a drive for results with a clear bias for action; high levels of maturity and professionalism; giving, receiving and responding to feedback effectively; a high service orientation; and clear commitments to diversity, inclusion, a respectful workplace, and integrity
Manage renewal process for clients by requesting information from carriers, including but not limited to: current bills, censuses, rates and summaries
Ensure proper plans and carriers are quoted and accurately entered and displayed on client spreadsheet in timely manner
Coordinate occasional necessary communication with the group through the Broker
Provide detailed notes in company tracking programs (BenefitPoint, Monday.com)
Communicate renewal decisions to carriers, complete group applications, and submit termination letters, if applicable
Participate in a proactive approach with clients on a quarterly, or as needed basis
Other duties as prescribed by your director.
Skills, Knowledge, and Performance Expectations:
Experience with a PC, proficient in MS Office and Internet is a must
Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, feedback to team members
Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization
Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and expectations
Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
Proficient ability to solve functional problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Expert ability to model consistently GBS Benefits' commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment

Ability to consistently attend work, meetings and required training or staff events.
Working Conditions / Essential Functions:
This position enjoys the benefits and climate control of a quiet office environment. Employees are provided with ergonomically sound workspaces. Work is accomplished at a computer terminal either sitting or standing. Employees must access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. Comfort and efficiency are considered in employee workspaces. Daily work includes computer interfacing, data entry, communications (electronic and physical), movement throughout the office, attending meetings, etc.
Physical demands include the ability to lift and move objects (typically 0 - 10 lbs), visually monitor information/data on a computer screen
