Our client, the largest and most dynamic union in the nation, nestled in the heart of Capitol Hill, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to become an essential part of their Investments and Benefit Administration team! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside dedicated leaders, manage critical office functions, and keep vital pension benefit operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide seamless administrative support, preparing and distributing a range of correspondence and reports.
  • Organize and manage incoming mail-scan, index, and alert the appropriate staff to keep the workflow steady and efficient.
  • Track Accounts Receivables, maintain pension files in an online database, and ensure financial records are up to date.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for telephone inquiries, assist with pension documentation, and craft monthly payment letters.
  • Keep databases accurate and current while assisting Pension Benefits Analysts with special projects.
  • Uphold policies and ethical standards to maintain a professional and compliant environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • At least three years of administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, with a typing speed of 60 WPM and familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of union structures, CPAS, OnBase, and online document management systems is a plus.
