Our client, the largest and most dynamic union in the nation, nestled in the heart of Capitol Hill, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to become an essential part of their Investments and Benefit Administration team! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside dedicated leaders, manage critical office functions, and keep vital pension benefit operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide seamless administrative support, preparing and distributing a range of correspondence and reports.
Organize and manage incoming mail-scan, index, and alert the appropriate staff to keep the workflow steady and efficient.
Track Accounts Receivables, maintain pension files in an online database, and ensure financial records are up to date.
Act as the primary point of contact for telephone inquiries, assist with pension documentation, and craft monthly payment letters.
Keep databases accurate and current while assisting Pension Benefits Analysts with special projects.
Uphold policies and ethical standards to maintain a professional and compliant environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
At least three years of administrative experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, with a typing speed of 60 WPM and familiarity with standard office equipment.
Knowledge of union structures, CPAS, OnBase, and online document management systems is a plus.
