Akkodis is seeking a Telecommunications Field Technician for a Contract job with a client in Bullhead, AZ. The ideal candidate will have experience in field verification and GIS data collection. This role involves walking up to 8 miles per day to verify an existing provider's network, collecting field data, and updating the provider's internal network systems using a GIS environment.
Rate Range: $23/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Telecommunications Field Technician job responsibilities include:
Field verifying an existing provider's network against current field conditions in the GIS online environment.
Collecting and uploading field data daily, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the GIS system and PDF files.
Geotagging all active and passive components, identifying missing or misplaced equipment with photography.
Dropping data points in the GIS environment for potential rear easements, construction obstacles, and key locations like hospitals, schools, and banks.
Participating in weekly production meetings and providing a production schedule with milestones tied to total mileage.
Using GPS data collectors for field verification and maintaining detailed notes and comments.
Identifying and documenting non-identified branches in the network where no as-built documentation is available.
Ensuring all field data is accurate and up to date, contributing to the provider's internal network system updates.
Desired Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in telecommunications field verification and GIS data collection.
Proficiency in using GPS data collectors and GIS online environments.
Strong attention to detail and experience with documenting and photographing network components.
