To excel as the Mechanical Engineering Manager at Card-Monroe Automation, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of seven years of experience in the field, particularly focusing on custom automation systems. A crucial element for success is having at least 5 years in a managerial role, demonstrating proven leadership in guiding engineering teams and managing complex automation projects.
Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO and OSHA regulations is essential. Proficiency in SolidWorks (with PDM preferred) and a strong understanding of mechanical systems-including pneumatics, hydraulics, electric actuators, servos, and robotics-are key competencies.
Additionally, candidates should be knowledgeable about shop manufacturing processes (CNC, Lathe, etc.) and automation systems like PLCs, HMIs, and servo control systems. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and project management expertise are critical for navigating challenges and driving team success in this high-performance environment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on custom automation systems.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing automation projects.
