The Conference & Events Associate Project Manager will work closely with our teams to ensure workforce development conferences, events, and projects are planned and implemented on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with our brand.
OUTCOMES: (What must get done and how will we measure success) • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines and budgets with minimal direction • Track and report on progress of projects • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes • Manage the procurement process • Manage logistics including scheduling, transportation, and accommodations with multiple stakeholders • Oversee all contractual aspects of the project • Troubleshoot issues that arise with any aspects of the project • Oversee productions team to ensure smooth on-site execution • Coordinate post-event activities, evaluate success, identify areas for improvement
COMPETENCIES:
CRITICAL • 3+ years of working experience as a project manager in the live entertainment industry on productions with 600+ attendees and 50+ sponsors and /or vendors • Thorough understanding of live event production practices • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Event Management Systems, experience with project design concepts • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel (certifications a plus) • Solid organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Willingness to work flexible hours
