Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of multifamily and commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves close collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Execution: Oversee all aspects of project execution, including coordination of subcontractors, materials, and internal resources.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks to ensure smooth progress.
Budget Oversight: Track and control project budgets, processing change orders as necessary while maintaining cost efficiency.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records, including project reports, RFIs, submittals, and contracts.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work adheres to company standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve challenges that arise during the construction process.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor, focusing on multifamily and commercial construction.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, contracts, and safety practices.
Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Negotiation skills for managing subcontractors and vendors.
Technical: Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
