Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Project Manager at L.L. Vann Electric, Inc. located in Raleigh, NC. The role involves overseeing all aspects of an electrical project, including design, installation, maintenance of electrical systems, maintaining project within budget, to the required quality standards, while adhering to safety regulations, coordinating with various contractors, engineers, and clients; and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, scope, and deliverables.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control expenses, and manage cost adjustments to stay within financial constraints.
Team Leadership: Oversee project teams and subcontractors, delegate responsibilities, and foster collaboration.
Technical Oversight: Review electrical designs, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and resolve design challenges.
Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to track progress, inspect installations, and address any issues.
Client Communication: Maintain open communication with clients, provide updates, and address concerns.
Subcontractor Management: Negotiate contracts, monitor work quality, and ensure timely completion.
Change Order Management: Evaluate and manage scope changes, ensuring accurate documentation and cost adjustments.
Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control measures to ensure installations meet specifications and standards.
Compliance Management: Ensure projects adhere to all local electrical codes, permits, and regulations.
Post-Project Documentation: Prepare completion reports, as-built drawings, and handover documentation for clients.
Qualifications
Must live within reasonable commute to Raleigh-Durham, NC
Must have hands electrical experience in the field.
Project management experience in commercial electrical construction
Knowledge of fire alarm, security, tele/data, and A/V systems
Experience in complex lighting control design and integration
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Technical expertise in electrical systems and codes
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Strong understanding of electrical Code as well as engineering principles and design practices
Project management methodologies and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership abilities to manage teams effectively
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Budgetary control and cost management expertise
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
