The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting in the implementation of assigned capital projects across the North American facilities. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for scope development and project execution but may also take a role in identifying project opportunities to improve reliability and reviewing budgets, schedules, scopes and execution.
Operational
Oversees several capital projects with budgets ranging from $250K to $2M.
Ensures adherence to engineering concepts, practices, and standards by integrating safety, health, and environmental best practices and regulatory compliance into all engineering and project management activities.
Assures that the owner's team is properly resourced for the project and that engineering, procurement, and construction resources are outsourced when needed.
Develops best-practice project and capital management systems in conjunction with mentors and peers in engineering and project management.
Conducts engineering studies and helps produce capital cost estimates as part of the technical and engineering support provided to facilities.
Supports turnarounds, reliability initiatives, and production enhancements for facilities by carrying out a variety of technical tasks.
Minimum Required Experience:
B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a combination of alternate technical degrees (i.e. Associate of Science, other technical degree) with 8-10 years of directly relevant experience.
5-8 years of engineering experience in manufacturing plants and 3-5 years of manufacturing experience supporting operations/engineering/maintenance/etc.
Ability to travel 50%-75%
