Our client is seeking an experienced Software Delivery Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity. Preferably this person will sit in Dallas, TX as some onsite work will be required but they are open to fully remote candidates as well.
Software Delivery - Project/Program Manager
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the software development process for specific software projects. Constantly looking to identify impediments early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalates when needed.
Facilitate the requirements development process resulting in a defined and documented set of requirements/user stories for development.
Monitor progress in real-time, adjusting as needed. Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress.
Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified requirements, all while maintaining a focus on future scalability and the evolving needs of the business.
Coordinating with various departments to gather and analyze data. Identifying weak areas and recommending solutions through new processes and policies for optimal service and performance
Acting as a liaison between the technical team and stakeholders
Required Skills:
Strong technology background
Solid understanding of how large-scale software systems are designed, built, tested and deployed.
Experience in solution architecture, technology architecture, database design and software application design.
Excellent, high-level people management skills combined with project management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
Specific experience with project management tools
Experience5 to 8 years technology development experience
4 to 5 years in software delivery management roles
Experience in GIS and WFM system design and implementation and/or experience in financial and accounting system design and implementation
Education:
Bachelor of science degree in engineering, software engineering, science or a related endeavor
Pay Range: $65-70/HR depending on experience. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
