In this role, you plan, manage and produce custom millwork, metal, and acrylic fabrication projects from concept to completion, while maintaining strict engineering plans.
This includes projects related to the design and construction of high-end commercial interiors in the retail, corporate, and hospitality sectors. The project manager participates in the development of new projects and oversees their planning, organization, scheduling and production.
Our client produces visual programs for luxury fashion, beauty, and retail clients. Their expertise spans various materials, including metal, acrylic, wood, mirror, and any other 2D materials.
Responsibilities and Duties
Our clients client's projects are demanding and can often come to them with tight constraints. They require focus and efficiency in order to be able to deliver a high level of quality in the time frame allotted.
Collaborate with leadership including VP of Production and Account Directors to discern client needs
Oversee all elements of the production of projects assigned to you and assume 100% ownership of the details including sourcing, purchasing, installation requirements, reviewing 3D and 2D renderings, technical drawings, and prototypes to ensure all projects remain within design constraints on budget and within feasible construction capabilities
Create and track project timelines, ensure that the project is delivered on time
Must meet customers agreed upon project completion dates
Provide effective leadership
Drive issues to resolution using escalation where appropriate
Continually explore opportunities to add value to both process and job accomplishments
Extensive collaboration and communication with project vendors
Required travel to customer sites and trade events when and where necessary
Risk Management and corrective action throughout life cycle of a project
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5+ year's experience in a production planning role with specific branded environment, fixture, display or permanent exhibit/install industry (or related) experience dealing with three dimensional custom fabrication projects
Fabrication experience is required.
Must be detail-oriented, dedicated, be reliable, dynamic, enthusiastic
Able to solve problems on your own and get the job done with good judgment
Must have good communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of the larger team.
