Job Description:

IMS Technology Services is seeking a dynamic Junior Project Manager to assist our team in our growth strategies. This position will support senior project managers and teams in coordinating and executing audiovisual (AV) and videoconferencing systems integration projects while learning the full depth of the role. The incumbent will be assigned small projects with oversight while developing their project management skills, learning the technical requirements, and adhering to expected deliverables. This incumbent is expected to gain knowledge in accordance with our fast-paced environment and take a leadership role in adhering to IMS standards and best practices and proficient use of time management. This position is expected to work from our Garnet Valley Headquarters 5 days a week, unless otherwise at a client site.

Position Accountabilities and Expectations:
  • Initial support will include reading contract documents, understanding drawings and system specifications, and creating project schedules.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of expectations surrounding project requirements and objectives including, but not limited to, client contracts, financial impacts, technical requirements, scheduling, construction coordination, materials, team accountabilities and scopes of work.
  • Participate and facilitate project kick-off meetings that include the appropriate personnel.
  • Incorporate learnings and begin coordinating all in-house activities associated with project execution including, submittals, engineering, installation, programming, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers with larger scale projects
  • Follow detailed records of client communications and project changes. Actively participate in discussions and offer recommendations.
  • Provide weekly updates of job progress, percentage of completion, and project end dates.
  • Organize project files and manage project management software
  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering, sales, operations to ensure smooth workflows
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming solutions.

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant job experience that may include specialized training and certificates in project management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project in accordance with expected due dates
  • Ability to assist in managing client expectations and feedback
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to solving project challenges
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on delivering viable solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with project management tools, such as Gantt charts or task trackers and AV systems integration knowledge and previous experience a plus
