Our client, a renowned global fashion and accessories brand, is seeking a Demand Planner to join their team. This position plays a critical role in executing and developing sales and inventory plans for assigned accounts, with a focus on accessories. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in retail or wholesale buying, planning, or replenishment management. This is a dynamic, on-site role based in Midtown, with a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute style demand and inventory plans based on statistical forecasting, historical trends, and input from cross-functional teams.
Work with account teams to ensure accurate forecasts and set parameters in retailer replenishment systems.
Partner with Sales on pre-season planning, focusing on replenishment, key items, and assortment building at the account level.
Provide monthly replenishment financial projections to Account Executives and Business Planning teams to align on inventory targets.
Analyze in-stock and WOS (Weeks of Supply) data at the style/color level, and monitor business trends to adjust inventory plans as necessary.
Collaborate with the Account Executive to address in-season issues and seize opportunities for growth.
Prepare ad hoc analyses as required and support management with other tasks as needed.
Collaborative Responsibilities:
Partner with Merchandising and Sales teams for pre-season planning, ensuring alignment on key items and assortment at the brand level.
Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning to ensure stock levels and inventory goals are met.
Work with Sourcing and Supply Chain Planning to review WIP (Work in Progress) for potential challenges and adjust as needed to meet demand.
Skills & Requirements:
Retail Math proficiency and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail or wholesale planning, buying, or replenishment.
Strong analytical abilities to evaluate results and identify financial and merchandise solutions to optimize performance.
Knowledge of retail math and a solid understanding of forecasting and inventory management principles.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data clearly.
Ability to work independently as a self-starter and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A strong team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Occasional travel to other company facilities and accounts as needed.
This position offers a salary range of $74K-$82K, along with a robust benefits package including medical, dental, wellness perks, and more. The role requires a full-time, on-site presence 5 days a week in their Midtown office.
