POSITION SUMMARY

With the implementation of 5G and future wireless network generations, the demand for innovative technologies to enhance RF system coverage and capacity continues to grow. RFS Technologies is seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager, to join our team and lead the management of our expanding RF cable business. The Senior Product Manager will play a pivotal role in driving product strategy, development, and market success. This individual will oversee the full lifecycle of RF cable products, from ideation to market delivery, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with our growth and profitability goals. The Senior Product Manager must possess a combination of technical expertise, market knowledge, leadership ability, and business acumen to drive product success in a competitive industry. The position is on-site and in-person at the RFS Technologies office in Meriden, CT. Travel for customer visits up to 50% is expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning
  • Define and execute the product roadmap based on market trends, customer insights, and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align product strategy with business growth and profitability goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the RF Cable industry and related technologies.

Product Development and Management
  • Act as primary liaison between customers, internal sales team, and engineering.
  • Oversee and execute the design, development, and launch of new RF cable products.
  • Ensure products meet technical, performance, and margin requirements.
  • Manage existing product lines, driving enhancements and lifecycle optimization.
  • Oversee product rationalization and end of life strategies.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product improvements and future developments.

Performance Metrics
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including revenue growth, profitability, market share,

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Experience: Proven track record in product management, ideally within the RF cable industry.
  • RF Knowledge: Deep understanding of RF signal transmission, attenuation, and impedance. Familiarity with RF coaxial cables, RF radiating cables, RF cable accessories, and their applications in telecom and industrial systems (wireless outdoor, tunnels, underground and indoor coverages). Has Insight into the production, materials, and quality control processes for RF cables.
  • Market and Business Acumen: Ability to identify market trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs in the RF cable industry. Understanding of competitive landscapes and positioning strategies. Experience in pricing strategies, make vs. buy decisions, cost optimization, and profit margin analysis.
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Ability to interact with customers to understand their technical and business needs. Can provide tailored solutions to customer needs by designing and recommending RF cable solutions that meet specific customer requirements. Capability of delivering clear and compelling product presentations to customers and stakeholders. Ability to network with all levels of customers' organizations.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage budgets. Possession of good cross-functional collaboration skills.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • 7-10+ years in product management, with significant experience in RF cable within telecommunications and other industries.
